This unique, first of its kind, never before seen in London Whisky Festival promises to be an amazing weekend.  Read on to learn more about this event and for a chance to win tickets.

Billed as a contemporary celebration of exceptional whiskies from around the world.  Amanda (@TwlAmanda) and Eddie Ludlow (@TWLEddie) of esteemed whisky events company The Whisky Lounge (@thewhiskylounge) and cutting edge East London venue Oval Office Space (@OvalSpace) have teamed up to offer an amazing festival in some amazing locations and to bring the craft, innovation and heritage of whisky to the people of London in a three-day festival designed for seasoned whisky fans and newcomers alike.

The festival boasts some of the best-known names in whisky, accompanied by a whole host of small, craft distillers from Scotland, Ireland, India, the USA to sample.  Which offers the opportunity for even the most seasoned whisky aficionados to find a rare gem that they are yet to experience.

There are some amazing events on but for me, it’s the exclusive tastings of rare pre-World War Two whiskies on the rooftop overlooking one of the last remaining Blitz sites in London that really has me salivating!  I need to try this whisky, I have to know what there is, to have that bit of history in my hand, the knowledge, to be transported back in time, picturing the emotions behind the era, to be able to say I have tried this!  This really is a once in a lifetime chance.

To showcase the versatility of whisky there will also be an East End whisky cocktail bar curated by Molecular cocktail specialist Lounge Bohemia on Oval Space’s terrace.  Cocktails have a rich history but are also ultra “now” and you can rest assured that these will be some of the very best cocktails in town!

Jameson takeover the neighbouring “The Pickle Factory” which will feature pickleback shots (I am so not sold on these), I don’t think I could keep it down, but apparently they are all the rage, so give it a go and see if you live to tell the tale.   If that isn’t enough fun there will be live music and BBQ through to street food pop-ups on “The Oval”.

If you are already a whisky connoisseur then there is plenty there to excite you.  If you are new and are making your first foray into whisky, then go on in, the water is lovely.  This festival will be an excellent starting place, it’s relaxed, informal and fun.  If you want to learn as much as you can then the opportunities are there, if you just want to go and try some whisky and see if you like it, then go right on ahead.
