Drinks By The Dram Advent Calendars are back!
Ok, so I know it’s still November, and I know Christmas can be scary and the shop switched to Christmas mode on the 1st November, but Christmas can still be great fun for us adults, honest.
Remember the excitement when you were a child, opening those little doors and finding out what cheap chocolate treat awaited you? Think those days are behind you now, well my friends, think again. That anticipation and excitement of counting down the days to Christmas is here again and its all for us adults.
Drinks by the Dram (@drinksbythedram) have released this year’s whisky advent calendar. Now in it’s fourth year the calendars just keep on getting better and better. Not only is there the whisky advent calendar but also Rum, Gin, Bourbon, Absinthe and even an Naga Chilli Vodka variety which gets hotter the further into December you go.
I love the understated look of this year’s whisky calendar, the smart cardboard packaging looks both recycled and upmarket. I was lucky enough to win one of the advent calendars two years ago and I can’t tell you now exciting it was opening a door every day and finding out what whisky lurked beneath.
The 3cl bottles are clearly labeled with all the information about the whisky you could require, and the wax seal really adds to the experience.
If you love whisky then you should definitely treat yourself to this, or if you are looking for a great gift for the whisky enthusiast in your life then this is perfect!
There are some amazing drams, making this advent calendar great value for money, and the Christmas Eve dram is always something particularly special.
I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so I’ll reveal only a few of the drams that are waiting behind the doors. You will find offerings from Compass Box, Mackmyra and many others. Priced at £149.95 and available here with guaranteed delivery before December you can’t go wrong.
If you feel like really splashing out, there is a premium version, priced at £249.95 and available here. This features some rare and very old whiskies.
There’s an advent calendar out there to suit all palates, so come on adults, let’s take Christmas back!
